A treatment room at J'adoreAESTHETIC MEDICINE
Forehead lines, a vertical frown line between the brows, crow's feet around the eyes — these are traces left by everyday expression. At first they show only when you move your face.
Over time, they stay. Botox doesn't "stop time" or change your features — it temporarily relaxes the muscle that creates a given wrinkle, allowing the skin above it to smooth out. Done well, it's invisible in its action: the tired look disappears, your natural expression stays. At J'adore Instytut, the treatment is performed by an aesthetic medicine doctor. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.
1 session + follow-up after ~2 weeks
How it works
Botox is the common name for botulinum toxin type A — a medicine that, in microscopic, precise doses, blocks the nerve signal reaching a selected muscle. The muscle stops tensing, and the skin above it stops creasing. It works only at the injection site — it doesn't "spread" across the whole face.
It's one of the best-studied medicines in the history of medicine — used for over 40 years, first in neurology and ophthalmology, only later in aesthetics. It's a medical treatment, not a cosmetic one — and we approach it that way.

Ideal for
The female zone and the male zone
The goal is usually subtle smoothing and "opening" the eyes, while keeping full expression. The muscles are more delicate, so the doses are lower, and the result is easier to shape for a natural look. This is classic Botox for women.
The areas we support
Men's expression muscles are stronger and bulkier, and the skin is thicker — hence higher doses and a different distribution of points. Goal: a well-rested, less tense look, without losing masculine character — this is what's known as Botox for men ("brotox").
The areas we support
Fun fact: the same toxin that smooths the forehead also relieves migraine, bruxism and excessive sweating — because it does the same thing everywhere: it calms an overactive muscle or gland. Aesthetics is just one of its applications.
Safety
With Botox, the result and safety depend on three things worth asking about at any salon:
Botulinum toxin is a medicinal product — at J'adore, it's administered only by an aesthetic medicine doctor, never a cosmetologist. The doctor assesses your anatomy, selects the dose, and is responsible for any touch-up.
We use only genuine, certified products from legal supply chains, stored at the required temperature (cold chain). A poorly stored toxin, or one of unknown origin, means an unpredictable result and real risk.
There's no single "Botox syringe". The doctor selects dose and injection points individually — which is why consultation is mandatory, and the result is assessed at the follow-up visit.
Red flag: suspiciously cheap Botox · A bargain price is the most common warning sign — with a medicinal product, origin and storage matter just as much as technique. You have the right to ask about the product name, expiry date and who performs the treatment. A good salon will answer without hesitation.
Contraindications
Some contraindications are permanent, others temporary — in the latter case, we simply postpone the treatment until the situation passes.
From the doctor's chair
The most commonly forgotten issue: cold sores. Patients think "I've only got it on my lips, and the Botox is for my forehead — so it doesn't matter". It does — an active virus is a risk, regardless of where it appears. It's better to postpone by a few days.
This isn't a complete list — we'll go through your medications, conditions and previous treatments individually at consultation.

The visit

Medical consultation
the doctor assesses your facial anatomy, muscle strength and expectations, and rules out contraindications. A good doctor will more often advise against excess than suggest it.

Point mapping
precise marking of injection sites. Every face is different; a scheme "from the internet" won't work here.

Micro-injections
a very fine needle, each injection takes a few seconds and feels like a light pinch. The whole thing takes around fifteen minutes — hence the colloquial "lunchtime treatment".

Instructions and departure
no bandages, and usually no visible marks.

Follow-up after around 2 weeks
assessment of the result and any minor dose adjustment.
What to expect
Most importantly: you won't see the result immediately. The muscles relax gradually — the first changes appear after 3–5 days, and you'll be able to assess the full result only after 10–14 days.
Some patients write after two days saying "it's not working". That's completely normal — Botox needs time. That's why we assess the result only at the follow-up after ~2 weeks, not before.
Portfolio

A record of results — in preparation. We publish photographs of our clients only with their consent.
The result fades gradually, and the face returns to how it looked before the treatment — wrinkles don't "deepen". With regular use, the muscle weakens, and the intervals between visits often lengthen.
Botox and your lifestyle
The most common questions aren't about the treatment itself, but about what comes after: training, sauna, holidays, facial massage. There's one rule — in the first hours and days, we don't want the toxin to "migrate" beyond the injection site, or bruising to appear.
Training before the treatment doesn't block anything. After the treatment, skip intense exercise for 24 hours — significantly accelerated circulation encourages bruising and can disperse the product.
High temperatures dilate blood vessels and worsen swelling. Sauna, hammam, hot bath — best left until after 1–2 days.
We put off intense sunbathing and sunbeds for a few days. After that, no restrictions — provided you use daily SPF 50+.
This matters: don't massage your face for around 14 days, until the toxin has settled. Plan Kobido or contouring massage after this period.
Alcohol dilates blood vessels and increases the risk of bruising — best avoided the day before and the day after your visit.
On the day itself: avoid tilting your head down for long periods and don't lie flat for around 4 hours. Makeup — from the following day. You can return to work straight away.
Botox — expression lines
These three do completely different things and don't replace one another — in fact, they often complement each other:
switches off an overactive muscle
doesn't add volume, doesn't fill creases visible "at rest", doesn't improve skin quality
adds volume here and now
won't stop a muscle — not the right tool for wrinkles from movement
improve skin quality
they don't block a muscle or fill a specific crease at a single point

What to combine with
Where volume, hydration or static wrinkles come into play, we combine Botox with other treatments. The doctor decides the order and intervals during consultation, but the general logic stays the same:
What I hear most often: "I want Botox for the creases by my mouth" or "for hollow cheeks". Botox won't do anything there — it's not a muscle problem, it's a volume problem. Simple rule: a wrinkle that disappears when you relax your face → Botox. A crease visible at rest → filler or biostimulator.
Products
Under the name "Botox" hide several products from the same group, differing in formula, speed of action and behaviour in the tissue. You don't choose a product "off the shelf" — the doctor selects it to match the treatment area, muscle strength and your treatment history.
The best-studied, highly predictable — the "gold standard" of botulinum toxin.
Dla kogoUniversal use: forehead, frown line, crow's feet.
Faster onset of action, slightly wider diffusion within the tissue.
Dla kogoLarger zones, forehead, treatment of excessive sweating.
A "clean" toxin without accompanying proteins — lower risk of resistance with long-term use.
Dla kogoPeople who have used Botox for years, regularly.
Fact: Where do price differences come from? From the cost of production and purification, the number of units needed for the result, and brand and distribution. Products also differ in units — a dose of Dysport isn't the same as Vistabel, so comparing "price per unit" doesn't make sense. What matters is the dose chosen and the doctor's skill, not the name on the vial.
