MASSAGE & SPA (~30)

Warmth and herbal aroma
“herbal pouches”

Some days the warmth of hands alone isn't enough — your body feels cold, your shoulders like stone, and your mind won't slow down. The herbal stamp massage is an Asian SPA tradition where we work not just with our hands but with warm pouches filled with a blend of herbs and spices.

The stamps are pressed, "bounced" and glided over the body — releasing warmth, aroma and the properties of the herbs straight into tense muscles. This massage soothes three senses at once: touch, scent and gentle warmth. You leave warmed from within, lighter and deeply calm. At J'adore Instytut, this treatment is performed by a massage therapist / therapist. It also makes a beautiful gift — a voucher for a stamp massage says "warm up and rest" better than words. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.

  • Those who feel cold or "chilled"
  • Tense shoulders, neck and back
  • Chronic stress and tension

How it works

How it works

The herbal stamp massage is built on a simple, sensory idea: instead of working with hands alone, the therapist uses warm pouches (compresses) filled with a blend of herbs and spices. The heated stamps are pressed, "bounced" and glided over the body — combining three actions at once: warmth, which relaxes muscles, gentle pressure, which eases tension, and herbal aroma, which calms the mind.

This is an Asian SPA tradition — in many cultures, warm herbal compresses have for centuries been a way to warm the body and soothe the senses. Under heat, the herbs release their scent and properties, and the massage becomes more than muscle work: it's a ritual of warming from within. The effect is real, not just "pleasant" — tension leaves the shoulders and back, the body warms up, and the nervous system slows down.

Three layers in cross-section: the skin at the surface, the fascia together with the subcutaneous tissue beneath it, and deepest of all the muscles, where tension gathers. Warm herbal pouches work on the skin, while the pressure reaches the fascia and the muscles. The massage therapist matches the pressure to your tolerance.
  1. Neck and shouldershours at a screen, shoulders pulled up to the ears
  2. Between the shoulder bladesdesk work, the back held closed
  3. Lower backsitting, lifting, long drives

Worth knowing: warmth and scent are the two stimuli that "disarm" a tense nervous system fastest — that's why a home scented with warm spices, or a warm compress on the neck, calms almost instantly. The stamp massage combines both signals in a single gesture, which is why it relaxes so deeply.

Ideal for

Who is this massage for

  1. Those who feel cold or "chilled"when the body needs warming, especially in autumn and winter.
  2. Tense shoulders, neck and backfrom desks, phones, driving, training.
  3. Chronic stress and tensionwhen your mind won't slow down and muscles feel hard.
  4. Fans of aromatherapy and warmthfor whom scent and temperature are part of the pleasure.
  5. Those looking for something exoticwho already know classic relaxation and want a new sensory experience.
  6. A gifta voucher for a warming massage for someone close, or a shared massage for two.

How it differs from a classic relaxation massage

A classic relaxation massage relies mainly on hand technique and sensory setting. In the stamp massage, the main "tool" is the warm herbal compress — it carries the warmth, pressure and aroma. If you're after classic calm without a warming accent, you'll find it on a separate page: relaxation massage. And if warmth appeals to you but you prefer smooth stones over herbs — take a look at our hot stone massage.

The female zone and the male zone

What to expect

For her

Why women choose the stamp massage

The stamp massage for women is most often a warming "just for you" ritual — a favourite in colder months, when the body feels cold and the mind needs calm. The scent of herbs and the pleasant warmth of the compresses are part of the effect here, not an add-on — this massage soothes and wraps you in warmth.

The areas we support

  1. warmth and relief for the shoulders, neck and back — the classic feeling of "carrying the world on your shoulders";
  2. herbal aromatherapy: warm, soothing scents as part of the calming effect;
  3. pleasant, enveloping warmth — the favourite autumn-winter choice, when you feel cold;
  4. massage as a sensory ritual of recovery, including during periods of greater overload.
For him

Stamp massage for men — warmth and aroma without any fuss

The stamp massage for men is increasingly a part of recovery, not an exotic novelty — the warmth and pressure of the stamps work well on tension that settles in the neck, shoulders and erector spinae muscles. The goal is the same: to warm, relax and come down from "high alert" after work or training.

The areas we support

  1. neck, shoulders and back — stiffness from desks, driving, strength training;
  2. the warmth of the stamps warming "cold", stiff muscles;
  3. firmer, more decisive compress pressure available on request;
  4. zero downtime — you go straight back to your day after the massage.

For two: the stamp massage also has a version for couples — two tables side by side, two sets of warm herbal compresses, one shared moment of warmth and calm. It makes a lovely gift for an anniversary or a cold winter evening. Read more about rituals for two under SPA Rituals.

When it's better to postpone the massage

The stamp massage is gentle and safe for most people, but because of the heat and herbs, in a few situations we simply postpone the visit or choose a gentler variant — sometimes we also ask for a prior consultation with your doctor.

A red flag — when we don't perform the stamp massage
  • Allergy to herbs, spices or fragrances — before the session we carry out a patch test on a small area of skin; with a known allergy, we'll choose a gentler blend or a different massage variant.
  • Sensitivity to heat and broken capillaries — if you're prone to redness, spider veins, or don't tolerate heat well, we lower the compress temperature or suggest a massage without the warming accent.
  • Fever and infection — a cold, flu, a low-grade fever: we wait until you've recovered.
  • Acute inflammation — a recent injury, swelling, phlebitis, extensive bruising.
  • Wounds, fresh scars, skin irritation in the massage area — we avoid these until healed (heat and herbs could cause irritation).
  • Pregnancy (especially from the second trimester onwards) — we advise against the warming stamp massage; ask separately about massage during pregnancy — this is a specifically adapted treatment.
  • Chronic conditions and doubts (including cancer, cardiac issues, thrombosis) — consult your doctor before the visit.

This isn't an exhaustive list — if you have any doubts about allergies or your health, mention this when booking or at the start of the visit. We'd rather postpone the massage or choose a gentler variant than proceed against good sense.

After the massage

How to make the effect last longer

The stamp massage requires no recovery time — you go straight back to your day. But a few small habits help the feeling of warmth, calm and reduced tension last significantly longer:

  1. Hydration

    drink water after the massage

    After a warming massage, reach for water and drink it steadily for the rest of the day. Good hydration helps your body "complete" its recovery and strengthens the feeling of lightness.

  2. Rest

    let the effect settle

    If you can, avoid diving straight back into the rush of things. A calm evening, warm tea, no screens — this is when warmth and calm work most fully.

  3. Warmth and tea

    stay warm

    After the massage, it's worth staying warm — a warm sweater, a blanket, herbal tea. Don't cool a warmed body straight away by going out into the cold without covering up.

  4. Sleep

    go to bed earlier

    The evening after a massage is a great moment for sleep — the body is warm and relaxed, and the nervous system is calm. Many clients sleep especially deeply then.

  5. Intense training

    skip it that day

    Intense exercise right after the massage "winds back up" what we've just calmed. A light walk — yes; a heavy training session — better the next day.

  6. Getting back to the rush

    don't go "straight to your phone"

    The fastest way to undo the immediate effect is diving straight back into emails, phone calls and to-do lists. Give yourself at least a few dozen minutes of "buffer" before returning to high alert.

Frequently asked questions

  1. QuestionWhat exactly are these "stamps"?
    AnswerThey're warm pouches (compresses) filled with a blend of herbs and spices. We warm them and then use them to press, "bounce" and glide over the body — combining warmth, gentle pressure and herbal aroma in a single gesture.
  2. QuestionAren't the stamps too hot?
    AnswerThey shouldn't be. We always check and adjust the heat to suit you — it should feel pleasantly enveloping, never unpleasant. If the temperature feels too strong or too weak during the session, just say so and we'll adjust it right away.
  3. QuestionDoes the stamp massage hurt?
    AnswerIt shouldn't. It's a gentle, warming technique focused on calm, not on "breaking up" muscles. Compress pressure can be softened or increased — if anything feels too strong or too weak, tell us and we'll adjust it right away.
  4. QuestionWhen will I feel the effect?
    AnswerYou usually feel warmth and relief from tension right after the visit, and your best sleep may come that same night. Lasting calm and reduced shoulder tension build when you fit the massage into a regular "for yourself" rhythm.
  5. QuestionDo I need to be fully undressed during the massage?
    AnswerNo. We only uncover the area currently being massaged; the rest of the body stays covered. We work with respect for your comfort and privacy — your boundaries come first.
