A treatment room at J'adoreMASSAGE & SPA (~30)
Tight shoulders, a "blocked" neck, heavy legs, skin that has lost its spring — these are the spots where classic hands-on massage sometimes isn't enough. Cupping massage works the opposite way to ordinary pressure: instead of pushing tissue down, it gently lifts it with suction.
The cup draws onto the skin and the therapist either glides it or holds it still — this releases fascia, gets circulation moving and stimulates natural drainage. The result: less tension, a lighter body, better-oxygenated, firmer-looking skin. This is a wellness service — pleasant, relaxing, and genuinely "unlocking". At J'adore Instytut, the treatment is performed by a massage therapist or therapist (the anti-cellulite variant is also performed by a cosmetologist). Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit — including what that temporary "mark" is, and why it's not a bruise.
Single session for relaxation, or a series for a body effect
How it works
Classic massage compresses tissue — cupping does the opposite. Inside the cup, suction forms, which gently lifts skin and tissue upwards. This "reversed" pressure releases tight fascia (the layer that binds muscles together), widens blood vessels, and gets microcirculation moving exactly where we place the cup.
The effect works two ways: relief and regeneration (less tension, better-oxygenated tissue, more efficient drainage of stagnant fluid) and support for skin appearance — better-perfused skin looks firmer and more "awake". That's why cupping works equally well as a relaxation ritual and as part of a body-firming programme.

Fun fact: cupping is one of the oldest techniques in the world — it has accompanied people for thousands of years, from Egypt to Far Eastern medicine. Today it's back in a modern, wellness form: instead of fire and glass, we use hygienic cups with soft suction, and the therapist has full control over the strength of the "draw".
Sliding or static
Cups can be glided over oiled skin or held still at a single point. These are two different techniques — often combined in one session:
Women's zone and men's zone
Cupping massage for women usually combines relaxation with body work: relief for a tight back and neck, plus support for skin firmness and the appearance of cellulite. Skin tends to be more delicate, so we choose gentler suction and favour the sliding technique (no marks).
The areas we support
Cupping massage for men is primarily about recovery and mobility: back, neck, legs after training or a long day at a desk. Male skin and muscle tend to be more substantial, so we adjust suction and pace accordingly — without losing the character of the "relief-focused" work.
The areas we support
Fun fact: the distinctive round marks sometimes visible on athletes (including Olympic athletes) after cupping are the static technique — a sign that tissue in that spot was tight and stagnant. The faster a mark fades, the more efficient the circulation.
The visit
The visit is calm and predictable — from a conversation, through skin preparation, to the cupping work itself and a moment of relaxation at the end.
Consultation
A short chat: your goal (relaxation / recovery / body), tension points, contraindications and your preferences regarding marks
Preparation
Warming and oiling the skin — the base for smooth cup movement, comfortable position on the treatment bed
Cupping work
Sliding on larger areas and/or static on tension points; intensity adjusted continuously to how you feel
Closing
Relaxation, sometimes finished with hand massage; a moment of rest and a glass of water — so the drainage that's been activated can finish its work
Session length depends on the number of areas and the variant chosen — shorter for targeted work, or longer for a full ritual on the back or legs. We agree this at the start of your visit.

Cupping massage and your lifestyle
There's no "downtime" after cupping — you return to your day straight away. It's worth giving your body a few hours to finish what the cupping started: circulation and drainage. What matters most is hydration and a bit of rest.
Cupping gets drainage and microcirculation moving — water helps "flush out" what's been activated. Drink a glass right after the session, and stay hydrated for the rest of the day.
After the massage, your body feels relaxed and slightly "loose" — that's a good sign. If you can, avoid intense exercise straight after the session; let your recovery finish its work.
After working on tight muscles — and especially with the static variant — it's better to save very intense training for the next day; your muscles will recover better for it.
Strong heat right after cupping can intensify redness and any marks. Plan the sauna or a very hot bath for the following day instead.
If a temporary mark appears, keep it out of strong sun or sunbeds until it fades — this protects the skin from uneven discolouration.
MASSAGE & SPA (~30)
Some situations call for consultation or postponing the session — in that case, we simply wait until it passes, or ask a doctor first. These are standard safety principles for massage.
This isn't a complete list — we'll go through your chronic conditions, medication and previous treatments in a short conversation before the session. With any doubts, we refer you to a doctor.
