A treatment room at J'adoreMEDICAL PEELS
Skin can start ageing quietly. Fine lines appear, the complexion loses its bounce and glow, and skin looks tired and grey.
Creams stop being enough. This isn't always a problem for one intensive treatment. More often, skin needs rebuilding and stimulation from within — not another harsh exfoliation. Biomimetic Peptide is a biomimetic peptide peel designed for exactly this. Instead of stripping the epidermis with a strong acid, it delivers biomimetic peptides — molecules that mimic signals the skin recognises as its own. This gently smooths the skin while supporting firmness and reducing fine lines. It belongs to the anti-ageing category, for skin that wants improvement without days of hiding indoors. At J'adore Instytut, this treatment is performed by an experienced cosmetologist. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.

How it works
Biomimetic Peptide is an anti-ageing biomimetic peptide peel. "Biomimetic" literally means mimicking what's natural. The peptides in this formula are structured so the skin recognises them as signals close to its own — and responds with renewal, not defensive irritation. This is what sets it apart from "classic" acid peels focused mainly on aggressive exfoliation.
The mechanism works on two levels. On the surface, skin is gently exfoliated, smoothed and brightened — tired, grey buildup lifts away and the complexion regains its glow. Deeper down, peptides stimulate the skin to rebuild — improving firmness and quality, so early wrinkles become less visible. This is why Biomimetic Peptide belongs to the category of anti-ageing peels, not intense "maximum strength" peels. There's no dramatic flaking effect here — and that's the point.
In practice, this is a peel that builds rather than punishes. It's gentle enough for skin that reacts poorly to strong acids, while still working towards a genuine anti-ageing goal — condition, firmness and smoothing. A cosmetologist decides during consultation whether Biomimetic Peptide alone or combined with another peel or treatment suits you best.

Ideal for
For women and for men
For women, Biomimetic Peptide is most often the answer to early wrinkles, loss of firmness and "tired" complexion — when skin has lost its tautness, looks dull and needs "lifting" and radiance without harsh exfoliation. We often combine it with mesotherapy or anti-ageing skincare. This is the classic Biomimetic Peptide for women application.
The areas we support
For men, skin is thicker and more prone to excess oil, along with acne scars and typically no habit of using SPF. Biomimetic Peptide improves firmness and overall skin condition, smoothing and brightening without a "salon look". This is Biomimetic Peptide for men.
The areas we support
Fun fact: "Biomimetic" comes from the Greek bios (life) and mimesis (imitation). Biomimetic peptides are designed so skin mistakes them for signals close to its own — so the peel doesn't so much strip the epidermis as speak to the skin in its own language, encouraging it to rebuild. This is why it's considered one of the gentler, "building" anti-ageing peels.
Safety
A chemical peel sounds simple — "applying a formula to the face" — which is exactly why it's easy to get wrong. Three things determine the result and safety, and they're worth asking about at any salon:
This is a beauty treatment — at J'adore it's performed by an experienced cosmetologist, who assesses your skin phototype, condition, past treatments and contraindications. A peel "without consultation and without a phototype assessment" is a straightforward route to irritation or hyperpigmentation.
We only use original products from legal distribution channels, stored according to manufacturer guidelines. A peel "of unknown origin" means unpredictable concentration and pH — and unpredictable results with real risk.
Biomimetic Peptide is meant to work gently, in an anti-ageing way, not to strip the skin. What matters is matching the treatment to your skin and building a sensible series plan, not maximum intensity on the first visit.

Contraindications
Some contraindications are permanent, others temporary — in which case we simply postpone the treatment until the situation resolves. This is a chemical peel, so skin condition, phototype and exfoliation-related factors are key here.
From the cosmetologist's chair
The most commonly overlooked factor with peels isn't the formula itself, but sun exposure and phototype. Someone arrives "straight from holiday" or with a trip planned in a few days and is surprised I advise against the peel. It's not a whim — recent tanning and full sun without SPF is the most direct route to hyperpigmentation, the opposite of the intended result.
This isn't a complete list — pregnancy, chronic conditions, medications, phototype and past treatments are all reviewed individually at consultation. With peels, sensible selection matters more than anywhere else — not "stronger and faster".

Chemical peels are a recognised trigger for cold sore (Herpes) reactivation. We don't peel over active cold sores — we postpone the treatment until it has fully healed. If you experience recurring cold sores, make sure to mention this at consultation. For medium-depth peels, it's worth discussing antiviral prevention beforehand to reduce the risk of a flare-up after treatment.
The visit

Consultation & skin assessment
the cosmetologist assesses your skin phototype, condition and type, your expectations, and rules out contraindications. They decide whether Biomimetic Peptide alone or combined with another treatment is right for you.

Cleansing and skin preparation
thorough makeup removal and degreasing so the product works evenly. This is a key step in every peel.

Applying the peel
the peptide formula is applied to the skin in a controlled way; you'll typically feel a slight tingling or warmth. This is a gentle peel, so there's no strong stinging as with stronger acids.

Neutralising / removal
the product is removed or neutralised according to protocol; your cosmetologist monitors your skin's reaction throughout.

Soothing mask and SPF protection
we finish the treatment by calming the skin and applying a high-SPF cream without exception. This isn't an extra — it's part of the treatment.
What to expect
Most importantly: this is a gentle anti-ageing peel, not intense exfoliation. Brightening and smoothing appear almost immediately, but firmness and reduction of fine lines build over a series — a single session is a good start, not the finish line. Afterwards, you'll typically notice only mild redness, with no visible flaking.
The most common disappointment after the first session is: "I thought I'd flake heavily and see a lift straight away." Biomimetic Peptide doesn't work that way — it's a peel that builds condition and firmness, rather than stripping the epidermis. Flaking can be minimal or non-existent, yet skin looks noticeably fresher and firmer with each session. Patience and a full series achieve more here than one intensive treatment.
Portfolio
A record of the work in our salons — the place where we publish treatment frames and, after photo sessions, results.
A record of results — in preparation. We publish photographs of our clients only with their consent.
After the series, we maintain results with less frequent sessions and proper home care. The most important condition for lasting results at home is daily SPF 50+ — the peel improves skin condition, but sun without protection can undo this quickly.
Biomimetic Peptide and your lifestyle
With peels, most questions aren't about the treatment itself, but about what comes after: sun exposure, makeup, sauna, acids at home, exercise, holidays. There's one rule — for a few days after the peel, skin is more sensitive to UV and irritation, so we protect it and avoid adding to the load.
This matters most with peels. After exfoliation, skin reacts more easily to UV — without daily SPF 50+, you risk hyperpigmentation and losing your results. Skip intensive tanning and sunbeds for the duration of the series.
Let your skin rest on the day of treatment. Makeup is usually fine from the following day — before that, choose moisturiser and SPF instead of foundation.
High temperatures intensify redness, and chlorinated water irritates freshly exfoliated skin. It's best to postpone the sauna, hammam and swimming pool for a few days.
After the peel, pause retinol, strong AHA/BHA acids and coarse home exfoliants. Applying active ingredients to freshly exfoliated skin is the most common cause of irritation.
Intense exercise and heavy sweating right after the peel can sting and intensify redness. Exercising before the treatment doesn't cause problems — just give your skin a moment of calm afterwards.
A peel right before a sun-filled holiday (or a series in summer without SPF discipline) risks hyperpigmentation. Planning a trip? Mention it at consultation — we'll choose the right timing and strength.

This text is for information only and does not replace a consultation. Biomimetic Peptide is a beauty treatment (an anti-ageing biomimetic peptide peel) — the term "medical peel" refers to the class of product, not to who performs it. A cosmetologist or specialist decides on the peel type, strength, series and contraindications during an individual consultation, based on your skin phototype and skin condition, among other factors.
